Don't get me wrong they do really well early on, but when a big boss comes mid to late game they faceplant. Horned demon/wyldenten just didn't seem to scale fast enough for me to matter.
I probably tried a dozen times without final success >_> I also tried to make the Superfood guy work by pairing it with Remnant, I would try to get him killed early either by putting him in harms way or using a spell, then reform him and feed him to something. I paired it with Awoken for some spike and sweep possibilities. A lot of times I couldn't quite get all these pieces together in time to deal with big tanks in the later acts. I tried a lot of Penumbra and I found the games where I actually won usually had to do with finding either a morsel maker or a morsel master and pairing it with a multistriking minion with devour. I face planted super hard between cov 9 and 14, I kept thinking I would win but then I actually failed quite a bit and it took a couple days sometimes to go from 1 to the next. There have been SO MANY games where I threw or thought I was about to win then there was some enemy mechanic I forgot about, or I didn't quite get the right synergy quite fast enough. I just want to get to cov 25, and see how I feel from there. Right now I'm not particularly concerned with becoming an avant garde badass who has mastered every aspect of the game.
